Lapworth Associates Limited was formed in 2000 by David Sleaford and Peter Allport. With their extensive experience and knowledge, they initially set about supplying the UK trade and retail market with vehicles imported from a number of European countries. Now with the company well established they now focus on supplying the Land Rover range to the public.
With success comes expansion and in 2005, Lizzie Sleaford, David’s daughter, joined the company. Liz is responsible for the Retail Sales & Web Marketing. The success of the company is due, in no small part, to their attitude towards customer care and an efficient service.

David is a Sales and Marketing specialist with board level experience. Formerly a General Sales Manager with one of the largest Mercedes-Benz dealerships in the UK, he has gained over 43 years experience in both the trade and retail motor business, both within the UK and international arena. David is what you might call an 'old school car dealer' and his ageless charm makes dealing with him a unique experience! Even after many years of trading, David is still very passionate about his business and about always ensuring customer satisfaction.
Personally, David has been happily married to Carol for 23 years. They have four children and five grandchildren which keeps them busy at the weekends along with a keen interest in gardening and walking.
Formally a Leading Radio Operator in the Royal Navy, Peter served on HMS Manchester in both the Falklands and the Gulf. As Sales Manager for the biggest Mercedes Benz dealership in the Midlands, Peter gained 19 years experience in the motor trade dealing with both new and used car sales. Peter has been very active within the international motoring arena and like David has learned that customer service and satisfaction must always be at the forefront of any successful business.
Peter has been happily married for 20 years to Karen and they have two children. Peter and his family are very active and spend their most weekends participating in outdoor pursuits.
With 10 years of IT experience and Sales & Marketing skills, Lizzie offers a fresh, new addition to the Lapworth Associates team. Lizzie concentrates on Retail Customers and, being David's daughter, is as totally committed to excellent customer service as David and Peter. Lizzie lives with her partner Richard and together they look after their two small boys.
